Before this afternoon’s press conference, AC Milan head coach Sergio Conceicao took a moment to respond to some ‘lies’ from the media.
Everything around Milan is quite negative at the moment. Because of this, everyone seems a little on edge, and this is quite concerning.
From a mercato standpoint, the Rossoneri are seemingly going to overhaul several areas, and this also extends to the management and head coach. Considering reports suggest that ‘no one is safe’ it leads to a more edgy feel too.
The last thing that anyone wants, or more importantly needs, right now is the squad questioning their safety and future whilst there are games still to play. This situation will only boil over, and it already may be.
As Pianeta Milan reports (via Francesco Nasato on X), Conceicao took the time before his press conference to dispel some recent rumours, doing so before any broadcast or actual questions were asked to the head coach, stating that ‘lies’ about the club are ‘bad’.
Later in the press conference, he also referenced reports about his own future and how he is already on the verge of leaving. Despite this being said in a jokey manner, it is not the first time that he has called out media personnel during a press conference.
The Portuguese did clarify that he has a ‘good relationship with all of his players’, but his reaction likely will not be appreciated by the Diavolo’s higher-ups.
They attack him because he isnt Italian and our fanbase is dumb enough to fall for it
Ask yourself why is it there’s 100 articles against Milan, apparently our whole house is burning down after getting knocked out of CL meanwhile Juve who had higher expectations than Milan before the season started are all fine and its all within expectations for them?
Their manager hasnt even changed Allegri’s playstyle in the 8 months he’s been there
juve had higher expectations? meh. hopefully we secure top 4 OR hopefully gerry defaults on his loan
Yeah they did. They always expect to fight for title and be relevant in CL. Milan under Redbird no, 4th spot is enough.
Sometimes even 5th.
yes they did, literally this whole website was framing it like Motta with Juve means they are instant title favourites but now they have returned to their caves because it didnt work out
People here are under the impression you can say whatever you want and no one will ever notice
You mean Milan set expectations so low that it wasn’t that hard? Yes, amazing. Ideal for people like you.
That’s not we he is being attacked. He is being attacked for the horrible performances the team has had in almost every game he has been here.
Getting beat by Dynamo Zagreb? And then in 2 matches against Feyenoord who has 10 players injured , a brand new coach and who’s best player we just took from them now playing for us and we can’t even beat them in 2 matches? Completely unacceptable.
Not to mention this unwatchable style of football with the grabbing and diving constantly. It’s embarrassing.
Yeah and Motta is still a god, I know you people here still have an agenda and refuse to believe that the managers you worshipped in the summer Motta and De Zerbi, they both suck
They are both good managers, as well as Conceicao.
Yes, after Fonseca won 27 points in 17 games in Serie A. Let’s remember this, half season with 27 points. With AC Milan. So called “banter era” coaches did better, every single one of them.
Conceicao isn’t a magician. Conte wouldn’t turn this around better in 2 months.
17 GAMES IS NOT HALF A SEASON. 19 GAMES IS. It’s basic math.
And you leave out Champions League play where we had just won 4 games in a row and had about a 90% chance of going thru into the top 8 before Conceicao came and destroyed it.
Since Conceicao came Serie A results improved. With Fonseca, 4th spot was out of reach. So just by that Conceicao is already doing better, since he came Milan is 3rd in Serie A, 3 points less won than Napoli.
During banter era, and I mean if you find the worst season in last 20 years we had the same number of points after that many games. You can’t defend how bad Fonseca was. You can try but it is impossible. That world class team with Cerci in attack and Honda and Kevin Constant in the team. You want to tell me that Fonseca did good with the players at his disposal but Conceicao is doing bad?
I’m sorry to say it like this, but if you think that you are 100% crazy.
Yeah and apologies to the math nazi, for me half of season is when there is a winter break. But lets say 1st part, are you happy now?
4th was not out of reach. Just because you say something doesn’t make it so.
The performances under Conceicao have been horrendous. Worse than anything we saw under Fonseca. We’ve been outplayed in almost every single match, even the matches we won. Don’t let a few miracle late game comebacks fool you. We very easily could have lost every game but 1 that he has coached so far. The performances have been dreadful.
Oh, my favourite part. When you use your subjective opinion on gameplay to prove something. Yes, results don’t matter, points won don’t matter, football is played for the impression. Fonseca was the new Guardiola and Conceicao is trash. I just didn’t notice this. My apologies to the reincarnation of Berlusconi mixed with a little Galliana, good that you recognize diamonds in s**t.
What else, did you notice in training that Milan will win CL and now it is gone with Conceicao? Incredible…
*Galliani
It reminds me of the financial Scudetto that Redbird is chasing. You are right actually, we should have kept Fonseca and tried to be champions of finance and champions of good impression.
The gameplay has been objectively bad. You can make an argument for the results but no sane person who knows anything about football can say that the performances under Conceicao have not been poor.
ANd if your point is who cares about the Champions League, which I guess is what you are saying by trying to give Conceicao a pass for crashing us out by losing to Dynamo Zagreb and Feyenoord, if that’s your argument then who cares about top 4? Because Champions League doesn’t matter, right?
Forget about all the money that just cost the club after they went out in the winter and got him a bunch of players he was asking for.
either way, that match against feyenoord, he blew it.
terrible subs, man-crush on joao felix, he deserves the heat too.
I’m ready to see Felix come on as a sub instead of a seemingly untouchable starter.
I believe in Milan and will always it not because of the elimination i will doubt. that thing can happen to any team. let’s all hope and believe. Only that way we will overcome difficult period. Forza Milan
