It has been coming for a few months now, but AC Milan and Sergio Conceicao will split in the summer, according to reports.
Finding where the relationship between Milan and Conceicao broke is a difficult one. To many, it never really started. However, to others, there were signs of a bright future in the early stages. With that said, the coach has pointed out the draw to Cagliari, only his third game, as a breaking point.

Despite winning the Supercoppa Italiana, questions were already present about his future, due to him not winning his first Serie A game. As results failed to arrive and the Rossoneri fell, those questions only became more frequent and regular.
So, a divorce has been expected for quite some time now. As Gazzetta dello Sport write, via Pianeta Milan, not qualifying for Europe was ‘enough’ for everyone to decide against moving forward together.
In fact, this is only one reason. ‘Disasters’ in other competitions, like the Coppa Italia, for example, have also played a big part in the decision.
So, whilst his contract will officially end in June 2026, the club will look to use the break clause in the deal. That is, of course, if he does not leave of his own accord. Then, who knows what will be said about his tenure, from his own mind…




I just want to hear his exit interview and hope he doesn’t hold back. I want to know what the F went on in that locker room.
