MN: Conceicao began pre-Inter training with group speech – Leao and Jimenez present

AC Milan face off against Inter tomorrow, and Sergio Conceicao has attempted to rally his team ahead of the game before today’s training session.

It is a season where Milan have already beaten their city rivals, but a loss on Monday would be wounding. More importantly, it would mean the past two losses have both given silverware to the Nerazzurri, which would be incredibly damaging to the club, but not Sergio Conceicao – of course, this would depend on the manner of the loss.

The Rossoneri project is once again in a ‘take-off’ stage, and it is hoped that the competition can restart things, and perhaps the wider picture. Gerry Cardinale is hoping for a trophy and was a big part of Conceicao’s appointment, so success could perhaps, restart his own fortunes.

Ahead of the game, training was taken as usual, and Conceicao gathered the group for a message of motivation, as Milan News reports.

Included within that group was Rafael Leao, which is a huge positive considering he had been touch and go, so it is more likely that we see him feature in some way tomorrow. Alex Jimenez was also present for the session this afternoon.

However, Matteo Gabbia was absent, with the defender suffering from flu-like symptoms.
