Sergio Conceicao took charge of his final game as AC Milan head coach, but he did so in silence and not in the dug out.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) write, the three points are of no use except for statistical purposes, a matter that Conceiçao referred to in one of his latest public appearances when he spoke of a points-per-game average that was that of a Champions League team.

Too bad, however, that mathematics had already condemned Milan to a season without European football, even before yesterday’s match. The coach was not even able to experience his final game pitch side, given he was suspended after getting a red card in the defeat to Roma.
So, he followed the last test of the season from one of the skyboxes at San Siro, with a tense and serious expression as could be glimpsed from the rare TV shots.
A sad divorce
After that sending off in the capital, Conceicao told reporters: “I will be sorry not to be alongside the team, in a difficult environment.” In other words, he already knew what kind of atmosphere awaited his players.
Sergio remained silent on the eve of the match with Monza by not doing a press conference, and his farewell to the Rossoneri did not make any further noise. The divorce was a given, despite the possibility of another year together, because of the presence of a six-month break clause.
Given the results, Milan chose to use the option to end the adventure earlier. And Conceiçao? Would he have continued or would he also have opted for separation? Sergio has postponed his confessions until the end of the season, but we revealed that he was going to walk away regardless.

I don’t agree with it at all, I think Conceiçao did not just take over a sinking ship but the ship was sunk, and was beyond being saved.
Problems in every step at the club, power struggle, player struggle, bad management with renewals for top players, effecting their morals and will to fight for the club.
Conceiçao is still a fantastic manager, he won super cup, if he had won Italian Cup all media would have said he turned everything around for Milan and saved Milan and was a top coach, and Italian cup final was lost because of Pavlovic 2 mistakes costing Milan 2 goals and the Europe spot.
Pavlovic alone cost Milan 15 point if not more throw the season in Seria A, just by his mistakes and the the Italian Cup. I would say Pavlovic is the biggest flop of this season.
To bad for Conceiçao that fingers will point at him for this bad season, not fair at all.
He got himself suspended on purpose v Roma.
92nd minute and he just yelled insults until he was sent to the stands.
It’s not like that game wasn’t long several minutes before and any particular incident had just happened.

I think Conceicao is very good man and also a very good coach but he was unlucky to get to coach the club in big troubles. It’s just that many players have failed this year. It all started with firing Pioli. That was a huge mistake. Why was he fired? Because of 2nd place last season? With him on the bench we had UCL spot guaranteed. Fonseca is the biggest flop this season, then Morata, Abraham and some other players with their huge egos. It was clearly visible that silent players like Pulisic, Jovic and even Leao, suffered a lot because of them. There is no place for egoism in club. It ruins everything. That’s what happened this season. Pure disaster.
