Sergio Conceicao is determined to put the AC Milan team through their paces before the game against Juventus, with two training sessions still to go.
Since being named as the new head coach of Milan earlier in the week, a lot has been reported regarding his demanding nature. He has apparently imposed strict rules and spoke to the squad about discipline, and it seems they need to get used to double sessions.
It was known that a session was planned for the team on the eve of the Juventus game, but MilanNews are reporting that the Portuguese coach added two additional sessions to the schedule in the build-up to the game.
One was held this morning, there will be another this afternoon and there will also be one held tomorrow morning – the day of the match against Juventus – though it is expected to be lighter in workload.
Conceicao himself confirmed the plans in his press conference: “The timing is what it is. It’s clear that I would have liked more days to work and more players available, but when I arrived I already knew about this situation.
“So there are no excuses. Heads up. There are still two training sessions to go, we are preparing the match to be incisive, without having too much information in our heads, to try to win.”
I love that.
Conceicao has a better CV than our previous coaches, Pioli and Fonsesca. I hope to see improvement in our squad from the very first month. I know it will be difficult because of the time he arrived which does not give him enough time to get to know the players and drill them very well.
This guy just stormed in like a drill sergeant. Should have had him at the start of the season! Our team would have been better off. We have the quality, just didn’t have discipline.
My boy on some kids are out of control Maury show with the drill Sargent sh!t 😂
