AC Milan head coach Sergio Conceicao walked out of his post-match press conference after just one question, visibly annoyed at being made to wait.

Milan have left themselves with it all to do in the second leg of their Champions League play-off tie against Feyenoord as they lost the first leg 1-0 at De Kuip to an early Igor Paixao goal.

Conceicao was expected in the media room at the stadium for his post-match press conference and when he eventually took his seat, he answered one question.

Did you expect a different game?

“We knew what the atmosphere was like, how aggressive they were, we knew it. Matches definitely become easier if you win duels.

“We started the match with a chance for Reijnders, then we conceded a goal… well, things happen. It wasn’t a lucky match. We should have done more. We had the chances to at least equalise.

“But that’s enough now, I waited 15 minutes to speak and now I’m leaving.”

Conceiçao then got up and left the press conference looking quite obviously frustrated. It is believed that he was angry at the fact the Feyenoord defender who spoke before him overran significantly, as well as probably being disappointed with his side’s performance too.

  1. Pioli said: “In the first leg we had lost 1-0. In the locker room, before the match I gave a speech that gave me goosebumps, one of my most heartfelt ever. I was sure we would go through.”

He added, “Rather, the team failed to react and did very little on pitch. That’s when I realised that what I gave was no longer enough. The energy had gone bad.”

    Attitude reflects leadership.

    1. Well Calabria also said something bad about locker room.

I think red bird do something bad. First they need to start to be more realisticly. Put reachable goals. Focus should be more on Serie a and not money and champions league.

When these guys learn how to comfortably beat Empoli, Parma, Monza or tomorrow Torino and Bologna, they can easily transform that knowledge to European field.

This looks like big embarrassment; so many Well payed players but 8th position in serie a.
You have Divock Origi and Jovic in team who costs 10 million gross, and they are excluded from the team, which can’t beat Dinamo Zagreb, Feyenoord or even suffer against RedStar and Girona.

RedbBird needs to clean their own house.

    2. So what you’re saying is that all three coaches we’ve had in the last 6 seasons lacked leadership? That would be a bold statement. Particularly for one (Conceicao) who has plenty of trophies. Three coaches, same problems with certain players. Time to change those players. End of story.
