AC Milan have great confidence that they can close the renewal of Ismael Bennacer’s contract in the coming weeks, a report claims.
Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) writes that after the meeting with Enzo Raiola a few days ago, great optimism is filtering from Casa Milan regarding the extension of the Algerian’s current deal, which is set to expire in June 2024.
The gap between the offer on the table from Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara and the requests of Bennacer and his entourage ha narrowed. The former Empoli man is asking for at least €4.5m net per season to renew, as a fixed amount and therefore without bonuses.
Bennacer has been with Milan for over three years now and has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the league, as well as a cornerstone of the club’s project moving forward and also Stefano Pioli’s tactical schemes.
