Conflicting reports emerge regarding the terms of Castillejo’s move to Valencia

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will not receive nothing for the sale of Samu Castillejo to Valencia, contrary to some of the reports that have been circulating.

Sky (via MilanNews) are reporting that regarding Castillejo’s farewell to Milan is imminent. The Spanish winger, who joined the Rossoneri in the summer of 2018, will terminate his contract with the club (without severance pay) and will move to Valencia where he will reunite with Gennaro Gattuso, his former Milan coach.

According to what is being reported now by MilanNews, Castillejo’s departure to join Rino Gattuso’s Valencia is a sale and not a termination of his contract.

While the amount is not specified and it could be virtually zero, it means Milan will receive bonuses based on the objectives set in the contract which they would not have been able to had his deal been ended early, as he would have technically joined Valencia on a free transfer.

      1. Yeah. Samu has earned his free move. One can’t really blame him for anything. True professional. Too bad he just wasn’t good enough (for Milan).

        1. They will make enough not to record a loss on him, probably around 4-5M in total. You think that Milan, that asked for a discount on every single transfer (even Tomori, but Chelsea said f off) now just lost money? No way.

          1. Like you and your hunches are a more credible source than anyone quoted on this site… =)

We’ve all read about your “facts” and the corrections made by others. Your track record speaks for itself.

          2. You don’t have a track record, you run away and write nothing whenever someone faces you with facts. I smell chicken every time I give you some numbers.

  1. We should be thankful and grateful to him… He was a humble servant to the club… Wish u all the best Castillejo!❤️🖤

    1. Servant of what? He just stayed because of huge salary, not because he loves the club. Maybe he does but the reason is definitely because of that.

      1. He has said he was a Milan-fan as a boy and it was a dream come true to win the scudetto with “his” team. Believe it or not. Be cynical if you want – who cares. He did his part and earned his scudetto.
