GdS: Conte will not stand in the way of Spurs winger as Milan explore summer deal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in signing Spurs winger Steven Bergwijn who Antonio Conte is not ruling out a sale for, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that Milan are admirers of the 24-year-old Bergwijn, who is capable of playing on either wing or even as a false nine if needed. He is a member of the Dutch national team who came through at PSV before his €30m move to north London.

Conte has not been giving him an abundance of playing time since his arrival and he does not consider Bergwijn non-transferable so a deal could be done as long as their director Fabio Paratici does not decide to charge Premier League level prices.

Bergwijn has just 12 league appearances so far this season with 2 goals to his name and 1 assist, but both of those goals came when he was playing on the right wing as opposed to the left, which suggests he could raise the quality of that area for the Rossoneri.
