Conti ahead of Parma vs. AC Milan: “We are here for the three points”

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan full-back Andrea Conti has stated the importance of picking up a fifth Serie A win of the season against Parma on Sunday.

Conti has been one of the bright spots in recent weeks, as the defender impressed both away against Juventus and in last week’s home draw against Napoli.

For the time being, it seems like he has snatched the starting spot from Davide Calabria, who continues to be linked with a move to Spain.

The Rossoneri are looking to secure their second win under Stefano Pioli when they take to the field at the Stadio Ennio Tardini to face Parma.

Milan currently sit four points behind Parma, who are enjoying their second season back in the top flight and will provide a tough test.

Before the match, Conti spoke to Milan TV and his words were transcribed by MilanNews.it.

“We have worked well this week, we have trained well and we have prepared our game well,” he said.

“Parma are a great team, but we are here for the three points, which are the most important thing today. We will have to be careful because Parma can punish you at any time.

“We have worked on all aspects, we have seen their strengths and weaknesses. Today we will try to have a great performance.”
