AC Milan and Jovan Kirovski have had positive contacts regarding the extension of his contract, according to Matteo Moretto.
As a reminder, Kirosvki was brought in to oversee the Milan Futuro project in the summer of 2024, and it seemed Zlatan Ibrahimovic had a hand in things given the pair first became acquainted during his time at LA Galaxy.
A first-season relegation Serie D led to many reports that Kirosvki would leave after one year, but he ended up remaining. Results have been better, and promotion back to Serie C is possible, but then Matteo Moretto revealed that talks over a renewal for the director are going nowhere.
Kirovski expected to stay
Matteo Moretto spoke in the daily video on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel and he addressed the situation regarding the future of Kirovski, amid talk that his time at Milan is coming to an end.
“It was still 2025 when I told you that there would be changes within the corporate organisation, within the AC Milan world. This is what happened because RedBird completed the refinancing, Comvest comes in and Elliott leaves.

“And this type of move also shifts other balances. Let’s talk about Milan Futuro, Jovan Kirovski, whose contract is set to expire in June, but in reality the two sides are discussing continuing together. There are clauses tying him to Milan, and the intention is to continue together.
“A contractual situation that seemed thorny a few months ago, or at least still to be evaluated, is now clearing up, according to what we understand. Final decisions will be made in the spring, and now there are discussions about continuing together. And they are progressing positively.”
Recently, Kirovski gave a rare interview to the club’s official media channel in which he outlined the vision for the project moving forward.

I’m at a loss as to what merits warranted Kirovski’s contract is being renewed… What has he done with Futuro worth praising exactly?
😆😆😆😆 incredibile…
