CorBergamo: 56-goal forward happy to join Milan but Atalanta want €5-6m to sell

By Oliver Fisher -

Josip Ilicic would be happy to make the move across Lombardy to join AC Milan from Atalanta in the summer mercato, a report claims.

According to il Corriere di Bergamo (via MilanNews), Ilicic’s future is very likely to lay away from Bergamo, but for now Atalanta have not received any concrete offers for the 33-year-old. Milan are looking for reinforcements for their attacking department and have been heavily linked with Ilicic.

The idea of a move to the Rossoneri would be very welcome to the player, but the Nerazzurri management have no intention of letting him leave on the cheap or on a free transfer in the summer of 2022. Ilicic’s valuation is €5-6m, and they do not intend to give any discounts.

Ilicic has 56 goals and 39 assists in 149 games for La Dea but his problems with head coach Gian Piero Gasperini towards the end of last season were well documented.
