Josip Ilicic has reportedly made it clear that he only wants a move to AC Milan if he is to leave Atalanta this summer.
Milan continue to be linked with a number of different targets to reinforce the attack as the departure of Hakan Calhanoglu on a free transfer to Inter has left a gap in the squad to fill. A variety of different names have been linked such as Hakim Ziyech, Isco, and Nikola Vlasic, but Ilicic’s name is one that persists.
According to the latest from il Corriere di Bergamo (via MilanNews), the words of head coach Gian Piero Gasperini have made it clear that Ilicic is open to leave the club and now the Slovenia international is trying to outline his future.
The Rossoneri are currently the only real opportunity and option on the plate for the 33-year-old forward, and the Diavolo are interested in the player but do not want to pay too high a figure to sign the playmaker from Atalanta, given his age.
