CorFiorentino: Milan and Inter watching as Fiorentina star asks to leave – West Ham made €25m bid

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Inter are still monitoring the situation surrounding Nikola Milenkovic, a report claims, and Fiorentina may be forced into selling.

Milan were persistently linked with a move for Milenkovic throughout the summer window but eventually seemed to move onto other targets having been priced out of a deal for the 22-year-old, though they did not end up signing a centre-back before the mercato shut.

According to what is being reported by il Corriere Fiorentino (via Calciomercato.com), the marriage between Milenkovic and Fiorentina is destined for an end. The Serbia international – whose contract is expiring in 2022 – has expressed the desire to be sold.

Among the teams at the window for the young defender are Milan and Inter, who were already interested in acquiring him last summer.

The paper goes on to add that a €25m bid did arrive during the summer, though it did not come from either San Siro club but rather from West Ham United.
