After eight years Bernardo Corradi has left the FIGC, and more specifically the Italy U20 team. He will join up with Massimiliano Allegri.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport report, the former Siena striker himself announced it with a long post on Instagram in which he retraced the salient stages of his Azzurri journey – which began in 2017 as Nunziata’s assistant in the Under 17 – made up of ‘work, fun, disappointments, comparisons, growth, conquests and friendship’.
It is a closed chapter, waiting to open another one soon. In fact, his farewell is preparatory to his entry into Allegri’s staff at Milan. His assignment in the Rossoneri is not yet official but there have already been contacts with the new Rossoneri coach and the white smoke has never been so close.
“For a few days I’ve been thinking about how to translate into words 8 years of love and passion, work and fun, victories and defeats, disappointments and comparisons, growth and conquests, friendship and so much more,” Corradi said.
“I think that sometimes it’s enough to look at those eyes, those smiles, those hugs. Thanks to all the people who accompanied me on this wonderful journey during which I had the honor of singing the national anthem at the top of my lungs representing my country around the world. Forza Azzurri – always.”
