Following the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, AC Milan are expected to re-evaluate the attacking department, as having three centre-forwards is simply too much for a 4-3-3 formation.
Subsequently, rumours have surfaced on the future of Kris Piatek and Rafael Leao. The latter, who can also play as a winger, remains an interesting prospect. The Polish international, meanwhile, failed to impress against Sampdoria yesterday.
In the second half, he was replaced by Ibrahimovic, which could be the theme for the remainder of the season. Leao, on the other hand, played on the left-wing and actually did quite well during the 35 minutes he got.
As reported by Corriere Della Sera (via MilanNews.it), despite his poor start to the season, Piatek has many admirers around Europe. Three teams from abroad are currently monitoring his situation: West Ham, Aston Villa and Bayer Leverkusen.
Then again, it will all depend on the Rossoneri’s decision, as they might decide to keep Piatek as a vice-Ibrahimovic while using Leao primarily on the left flank.
