CorSera: Boban’s lawyers have been working on terminating his Milan deal ‘for a few days’

By Oliver Fisher -

Zvonimir Boban’s departure from AC Milan has been in the pipeline for a few days, a report claims, with his lawyers at work to end his contract.

Multiple reports are in agreement that the Croatian will be fired after comments he made suggesting that CEO Ivan Gazidis went behind their backs when initiating contacts with Rangnick, while Maldini will leave by choice.

According to the latest from il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), the relationship between Boban and Gazidis has been deeply flawed for some time.

This also testifies to a background that emerged in the few hours claiming that the lawyers of both parties have been working to terminate Boban’s contract and agree a severance package for a few days.

The paper adds that the relationship between the two has always been rather complicated, but unauthorised interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport was the straw that broke the camel’s back. The official announcement is still missing, but Zvone’s farewell is now certain.
