CorSera: Deal with Chelsea still in stalemate as Milan choose to focus on another priority

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are no closer to resolving the stalemate currently ongoing with Chelsea over Tiemoue Bakayoko as they have other priorities.

The Rossoneri have welcomed the signings of Brahim Diaz, Sandro Tonali and Ciprian Tatarusanu as well as having secured the renewal of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and a permanent deal for Ante Rebic.

Nonetheless, it has been suggested that the management are still looking to add the final pieces of the jigsaw by making a couple more additions before the window shuts on October 5.

It was assumed that one of those players could be Bakayoko, who is pushing for a return to Milan. However, according to il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri have decided instead to prioritise the signing of a new centre-back.

That means that the signing of a fourth midfielder to compliment the current department has been put on hold, and as a result it will not change the current stalemate in the negotiations with Chelsea.
