AC Milan have identified three potential alternatives to Zlatan Ibrahimovic should he reject a return, according to a report.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reported earlier on Tuesday that Milan are growing impatient will not wait long for Ibrahimovic’s response despite making him the number one target for January.
The Swedish striker is apparently still reflecting on his future: one day he thinks of his return to the Rossoneri, one day he thinks about Napoli, the next day retirement.
According to Tuesday’s edition of il Corriere della Sera – as cited by MilanNews.it – there are three alternatives in Maldini and Boban’s notebook, two of whom are currently at Real Madrid.
The first is Juve’s Mario Mandzukic, a player who Calciomercato.com reported that Milan have opened talks for, while Mariano Diaz and Luka Jovic are the duo from Los Blancos.
Jovic has scored just once in 13 appearances for Real Madrid since his €60million arrival from Eintracht Frankfurt over the summer (via Wikipedia).
Meanwhile, Mariano is yet to play a competitive game this season after his €23m arrival from Lyon last year (as per Wikipedia).
