CorSera: Fonseca has exhausted post-derby credit – the four potential replacements

After the Derby della Madonnina, AC Milan were a team on the rise, Paulo Fonseca was beginning to work his magic, and things as a whole looked more positive. That is no longer the case.

Milan are already entering a dangerous cycle, and it is a situation that they have been in before. The Rossoneri are already asking questions of Paulo Fonseca again, and it seems frustratingly similar to last season.

Looking back to last season, Stefano Pioli was often in and out of a job, and on several occasions he was one loss away from losing his job. Already Fonseca seems to be entering this cycle.

Before Inter, he was one game away from the sack, and after the Fiorentina loss, Corriere della Sera (via Radio Rossonera) suggest that he is potentially in a similar situation, with the team ‘unable to get into gear’ making the air at Milanello heavy once again.

For this reason, the situation is being ‘monitored’ and Tudor, Sarri, Terzic and Allegri’s cards lie on the table. Whilst there is no desire to make such a strong decision yet, the club is not satisfied. Fonseca will have a chance to turn the tables, but a different Diavolo must return, rather than this weekend’s.
