CorSera: From Italy without fear – Milan ready for UCL comeback vs. Liverpool

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan, after seven long years, will make their comeback in the Champions League this evening as they will face Liverpool. A tough game to start off with, of course, but that’s what you get on the highest level.

As highlighted by today’s edition of Corriere Della Sera (via MilanNews), the absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic will make things more difficult for Milan. The hope is that he will be back against Juve, but still it’s a blow not to have him available tonight.

Having said that, it’s clear that Stefano Pioli’s men will take the field without fear tonight, with the desire to play their game. It will be a good opportunity for them to show that they deserve to be back in the Champions League, that’s for sure.

They have started the season in the best way possible (three wins in three) and they will surely have the confidence needed to give it a good shot tonight. Hopefully, the outcome will be positive.
