CorSera: Giampaolo on the brink; Allegri ‘unlikely’ as replacement

The future of Marco Giampaolo at AC Milan will be decided this weekend, as the Rossoneri take on Genoa on Saturday evening. Should they lose, then the former Sampdoria boss will be heading towards the exit.

As reported by Corriere Della Sera (via MilanNews.it), the manager will get a last chance to save his job against Genoa, following the disappointing start to the season. In other words, he hasn’t impressed the leadership thus far.

Therefore, the Rossoneri have started to look at possible replacements. In recent days, Max Allegri has been linked with a return, but as the newspaper adds (via MilanNews.it), this hypothesis remains ‘unlikely’.

However, a lot will depend on Saturday’s clash, though Giampapolo’s side most likely will have to win convincingly in order to convince the leadership to give him one more chance. Then again, a lot of fans are calling for his departure, already fed up with the manager.
