First, they will have to bring back AC Milan to Europe, then say goodbye: Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Stefano Pioli share the same destiny in this season finale. After all, they are both very professional.

As reported by today’s edition of Corriere Della Sera (via MilanNews.it), the duo has ‘signed’ the pact with the club. They want to bring the Rossoneri to Europe and subsequently, both will part ways with the side at the end of the season.

The Swedish striker, as the weeks have gone, has convinced himself more and more to return home. His future will be the at Hammarby, the club he co-owns and with whom he trained during the lockdown.

Ibrahimovic wants to be as close to his family as possible and therefore, Stockholm makes the most sense. Before leaving, however, he has a clear goal in mind: to bring Milan back to Europe.

Pioli’s future also seems decided, although there is still talk of a possible co-existence with Ralf Rangnick. In reality, though, the hypothesis of having the German manager just as a director doesn’t convince the management.

Although it’s clear that he most likely will leave, Pioli has continued to work with great professionalism and is giving a lesson to many. There is only one thought in his head: qualify for Europa League, then he can leave Milan with his head held very high.
