CorSera: Ibrahimovic’s attitude has surprised Milan; enquiries made over other strikers

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been left surprised by Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s requests during negotiations over his renewal, according to a report.

After days of being told that his signature was imminent, there have been suggestions from multiple sources claiming that there are disagreements on salary between Milan and the Swede which have caused delays.

According to what is being reported by il Correire della Sera (via MilanLive), Milan assumed that the decision to keep Stefano Pioli as head coach would make Ibrahimovic’s renewal a formality.

Instead, somewhat surprisingly, the Swede is not making life easy as he has asked for €7.5million to sign a new one-year deal, therefore €15m gross. Elliott Management are not willing to go above €6m plus bonuses.

The requests by Ibrahimovic and Raiola have surprised Milan, because Maldini and Massara assumed that the 38-year-old would renew with no problems and with ‘a different attitude’.

The paper claims that the management are even now taking precautions with some enquiries for other strikers.

  1. All this messing about with Raiola & his pet Ibrahimovic is making Milan look very stupid
Maldini and Co should tell Raiola to take his pet Ibrahim and go play with themselves
