CorSera: Milan hypothesis ‘alive’ for Conte but Pioli’s position remains strong

Antonio Conte recently parted ways with Tottenham and is looking for a new club to coach, starting next season. AC Milan are one of the options but it’s an unlikely one for now, a report claims.

After losing the Round of 16 in the Champions League to Milan, Conte (in classic fashion) become more and more honest during his press conferences. He made critical comments towards the club owners and eventually parted ways with Spurs.

According to Corriere Della Sera, as cited by MilanNews, Conte is currently evaluating his options for next season and a lot will depend on the Champions League race. However, the candidates are Milan, Inter, Roma and Juventus.

The latter three clubs are the most realistic ones, as Stefano Piol’s position at Milan remains very strong for the time being. UCL qualification is a must still, but provided he manages that then he’s likely to keep his job as per the report.
