Ahead of the transfer window, which will last for one month starting September, AC Milan are scanning the market for potential targets. They could, in fact, reignite their interest in a midfielder, a report claims.
According to Corriere Della Sera, as cited by Milanlive.it, the Rossoneri could rival Napoli in the race for Jordan Veretout. The 27-year-old would be a good fit for both teams, being a flexible, dynamic and very fast midfielder.
Already last summer, when he was ready to leave Fiorentina for a new adventure, Milan and Napoli expressed their interest. In the end, Roma emerged and made a better offer worth around €19m, thus securing the Frenchman’s services.
Now, with the Giallorossi in financial difficulty, Milan and Napoli are ready for a new assault. Veretout would serve as the Rossoneri’s first alternative to the Bennacer-Kessie duo, but Roma aren’t keen on parting ways with the player yet.

I appreciated AC Milan efforts so much. The greatness of a club is the quality of players. Much is needed to be done to get to the former Glory.
