CorSera: Milan grind out another tiring and precious win – the next three games are huge

AC Milan showed on Tuesday night that they are able to win games without playing anywhere close to their best, a report has claimed.

This morning’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) describes Milan’s win over Torino as ‘another tiring and precious success’ which showed how the squad have matured and are more streetwise, even able to emerge victorious when they only generate one big chance in a game.

This is exactly how the title is won: picking up points and wins when not playing at the usual levels. One year ago Milan were in first place with two points less (26 then versus 28 now), but the feeling back then was that Inter under Conte would come roaring back and the Rossoneri may fade away, which happened in the second half of the season.

The next three matches will be huge as Pioli’s side will face Roma at the Olimpico, Porto at San Siro in a do-or-die game in the Champions League and then they will have the derby against Inter before the break.
