CorSera: Milan have only one goal in mind against Lazio – close 2020 at the top

By Isak Möller -

After what has been a very exciting 2020 for Milan, we have arrived at the final game of the year. In Serie A, no other side have collected as many points as the Rossoneri, who will take on Lazio this evening.

Stefano Pioli’s men want to close the year in the best way possible, aiming for a win this evening to preserve their lead at the top of the standings. As Corriere Della Sera highlights (via MilanNews), though, it won’t be easy at all.

Lazio are coming from an important 2-0 win against Napoli, while Milan are struggling with several injuries: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Simon Kjaer, Matteo Gabbia and Ismael Bennacer. Franck Kessie will also miss out due to suspension.

Despite the absences, Milan have shown that they are stronger than the difficulties and, therefore, will take the field tonight with only one goal in mind: to win. As a bonus, perhaps, they will already know the result of Inter.

The Nerazzurri are just one point behind in the standings and will take on Hellas Verona at 18:30, while Milan will play at 20:45. The city rivals want to change the positions, while the Rossoneri have no intention of giving up their spot.
