CorSera: Milan overcome another emergency with soul, heart, pride and even a bit of luck

By Oliver Fisher -

It was yet another night to remember for Milan at San Siro last night as they signed off 2020 in style with a dramatic 3-2 win over Lazio.

As reported by il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri won at the last breath with soul, heart, pride and even a bit of luck. Which never hurts, especially in the challenging times that Pioli and his squad are facing.

It was another big win against a top side before a mini-break that will allow Milan to recover some players in theory. The Rossoneri had to do without Kjaer in defence (and Gabbia), Kessié and Bennacer in midfield and Ibrahimovic in attack. After a great start for the Rossoneri, it was a very difficult game against the Biancocelesti, but this team takes pride in winning no matter what.

Milan once again managed to make up for the absences of four starters by defending what is theirs – top spot in the table – by fighting tooth and nail. Donnarumma and his team-mates have double the points compared to last year, meaning this Christmas will feel even sweeter.
