CorSera: Milan put forward improved bid for Tonali as player says yes to move – Inter stalling

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan may have definitively overtaken Inter in the race for Sandro Tonali, a report claims, with Paolo Maldini having sent a new and improved offer.

According to what is being reported by il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), the Brescia midfielder is getting closer and closer to joining the Rossoneri, the club he supported as a boy growing up.

Massimo Cellino was demanding an obligation to buy but Milan have put forward a very high paid loan of €10m which has caused him to falter from that stance. The management have also inserted an option to buy in the deal which is around €25-30m.

Even if Inter have not yet been definitively cut off in the race, the recent overtaking by Milan could be enough. What is certain is that Milan have made not one but at least two or three steps forward, presenting a concrete proposal to Brescia.

For his part, Tonali said he was in favour of moving to Milanello: the next few days will be decisive.
