CorSera: Milan ready for battle regarding Ibrahimovic’s suspension – appeal ready

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are ready to go to battle if Zlatan Ibrahimovic is handed more than a one-match ban after Saturday’s red card, a report claims.

Ibrahimovic will be disqualified after receiving a red card in the league game against Parma at the weekend after the Swede said something that incurred the wrath of Fabio Maresca. Il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) reports that the Rossoneri are waiting to understand how many games he will receive in terms of suspension.

If the suspension is for two or more games Milan will immediately present an appeal, complete with audio evidence (which does not show insults). The impression is that in the end Ibra will get away with just a one-game ban.

Milan continue to defend the player, reiterating what Pioli said at the end of the match at the Tardini: “Zlatan did not offend the referee”. The report by Maresca himself will be decisive: it is on what the Sports Judge will base himself to issue the sentence.
