CorSera: Milan could bring three new players in during the January transfer window

By Euan Burns -

January could prove to be an incredibly busy month for AC Milan with the potential of signing a striker and two defenders to bolster Stefano Pioli’s squad, a report claims.

According to Corriere della Sera (via Milan News), the Rossoneri do not want to be caught standing still in January given there are deals that can be done without breaking the bank.

It is no secret that Milan certainly need to add a defender or two to the squad, given Fikayo Tomori is currently the only fit centre-back. Simon Kjaer is close to a return, but Pierre Kalulu, Marco Pellegrino and Malick Thiaw are out for a worrying period of time.

It may not excite fans, but one defensive addition could be Matteo Gabbia being brought back from his loan at Villarreal where he has not excelled. The club could also attempt a deal for Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly.

As well as those central defenders, there is a chance that Milan pull off a deal for Real Betis’ Juan Miranda who could be deputy to Theo Hernandez.

A striker is also wanted, with a few names being linked with the Rossoneri. Jonathan David from Lille and Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy have been mentioned, although January moves may not be easy in that department.

  1. Don’t understand why we are bringing in juan miranda, signings from la liga never seem to work for us, so why they think that will change now…..samu, chuk etc etc
Plus Bartesaghi was good enough as cover a few months ago….but Pioli has not given him a chance??? What has changed….

  2. They could bring in a world class eleven in January but nothing will change until we have a change of management.
Please, Mr Cardinale, give us all an early Christmas present and bring in someone like De Zerbi….. 🤞
