CorSera: Mourinho called Donnarumma but the No.99 rejected the approach

By Isak Möller -

Gigio Donarumma will leave Milan once his contract expired at the end of the month, having failed to reach an agreement on the renewal. His next destination is yet to be decided, with relatively few clubs interested.

According to Corriere Della Sera (via MilanNews), Juventus are one of the teams interested but they have to part ways with their current goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny. It’s not certain that they will be able to do so, with everything up in the air.

Meanwhile, Roma have also expressed their interest in Donnarumma recently. Jose Mourinho even called the No.99 personally but received a cold response. The Giallorossi aren’t even in the Champions League and the goalkeeper has other ambitions.

It remains to be seen where he will end up, therefore, but it’s clear that it will be a struggle for Mino Raiola to get him a hefty contract. He could end up accepting less than what Milan offered.
