CorSera: Pioli and the Milan squad’s agreement – keep winning and hope

AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli and his players are all on the same page as to what they must do for the rest of the 2023/24 season, a report suggests.

As has been reported by Corriere della Sera (via Milan News), the Rossoneri are taking a relaxed approach to the rest of the season and everyone is in agreement as to what they must do.

Simply, they need to keep winning their own matches and hope that things go their way elsewhere. It is their job to leave no stone unturned and make sure that should there be a slip-up from the teams above them, they are in a position to capitalise on it.

The recent form from Milan puts them on par with Inter at the top of the table, and it has taken them to within one point of Juventus in second. The issue is that the Nerazzurri have been playing well all season, so they have an eight-point lead over Milan and also have a game in hand.

There is little point in focusing on Simone Inzaghi’s side, all Milan can do is maintain their own levels, ideally finish ahead of Juventus, and hope that the wheels fall off for Inter.
