CorSera: Raiola fears losing Donnarumma as a client

By Oliver Fisher -

The Gianluigi Donnarumma saga continues to drag out and be a major headline in AC Milan’s summer mercato plans.

The Rossoneri leadership would have hoped that the astute signings of Mateo Musacchio, Ricardo Rodriguez, Franck Kessie and Andre Silva would be enough to keep optimism high, but the situation surrounding Milan’s 18-year-old goalkeeper has taken centre stage.

It was revealed last Thursday (15 June) that Donnarumma would not be signing a new deal to stay at his boyhood club AC Milan, a decision described as “definitive” and one which caused shockwaves across the Milan fanbase.

Since then, the decision appears to have been anything but definitive, as numerous reports have suggested that the 18-year-old is unhappy with the way things have worked out and is more than willing to sit down and re-negotiatie.

Now, in another twist to the plot, reports in Corriere della Sera suggest that his agent Mino Raiola fears losing Gigio as a client.

As a result, they state that he is willing to put a release clause in Gigio’s new contract that would satisfy all parties.

As the saga continues to twist and turn one thing is for sure: this won’t be the last we hear of Gianluigi Donnarumma.
