CorSera: Team dinner held for squad and staff to help rally in difficult moment

By Oliver Fisher -

The AC Milan dressing room cannot be described as being divided, but an event took place last night that it is hoped will bring everyone even closer together during a difficult time.

After a very tough week in terms of results, Milan will return to the pitch tomorrow against Udinese and the team will be called upon to give a boost at a crucial moment of the season, meaning a victory will be needed.

For this reason, yesterday evening captain Davide Calabria and Stefano Pioli had an idea as per Il Corriere della Sera (via PianetaMilan). The team met for dinner in the centre of Milan, in the Corso Como area, with the aim of uniting the group after the high tension of recent weeks amid media criticism and dropped points.

The initiative came from the players, but Pioli was also present with his entire staff. It was a relaxed atmosphere and many smiles, as per the newspaper, while it was another confirmation of the fact that – beyond a few words too many on the pitch and in post-match interviews – the Milan dressing room is not divided.
