CorSera: UEFA to announce deadlines on resumption and completion of 2019-20 season

By Oliver Fisher -

UEFA are set to announce a proposed timeframe for the completion of the 2019-20 season across Europe, according to a report.

Newspaper il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) claims that on Wednesday there will be a meeting with the 55 European Federations, in which president Ceferin will indicate the guidelines for returning to action.

European football’s governing body wants at all costs to be able to finish the current campaign, with Ceferin and his collaborators studying the right solution to resume when the emergency is over.

During the meeting, which will include the general secretaries of the 55 European Federations in a video conference, it should be announced that the final date for closing both national and international tournaments will be July 31st.

The indications regarding a resumption date will also arrive: the most optimistic idea leads to a return to the field for mid-May but could slip in the following weeks. The important thing is that they do not exceed June 21, the last day to resume.
