The week of truth has arrived in which Marcus Thuram should finally make a decision regarding his future, according to a report.
This morning’s edition of Corriere della Sera (via PianetaMilan) writes Milan are pushing Thuram for a decision, given he will leave Borussia Mönchengladbach on a free transfer and has not yet decided where he is going.
Thuram is the number one target for the centre-forward role as the Milan management believe that he can work alongside Olivier Giroud seamlessly, which is why the Rossoneri have offered him €5m net per season which would make him among the top earners.
In addition to that, Stefano Pioli has offered him a guaranteed starting spot given Giroud is approaching 37 years of age. However, Thuram is also being chased by PSG who offered him a salary of €7m net per season – but not a starting shirt – and by RB Leipzig .
Leipzig though were put off when the player’s entourage made the request for a €10m signing bonus. Milan need to hear Thuram’s decision the coming days, or they will turn to another target.
So.. Let’s see if this endless drama will finally end this week. My money is on “not”.
When PSG appoints their new coach Thuram will sign…
