AC Milan’s problems in the final third have affected them massively lately, and as highlighted by a report this morning, it has prompted Massimiliano Allegri to make a change today.
As Corriere dello Sport points out this morning (via MilanNews), Milan have scored just one goal in the last four games and their strikers have gone completely blank. Indeed, the last goal was scored by the midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who bagged the winner against Verona.

When looking at the goal averages, it’s like night and day between the first half of the season and now. In the first 25 games, the Rossoneri averaged 1.64 goals per game, but that figure has seen a sharp decline to 0.78 goals per game (!) in the last nine games.
Chris replaces Chris
In an attempt to break the drought and shake things up, Allegri is expected to field Christopher Nkunku alongside Rafael Leao tonight as opposed to Christian Pulisic. The star of the first half of the season has started in the last three games, though without achieving any success.
Indeed, he hasn’t found the back of the net since December 28 and seems to have completely lost his mojo on the pitch as well. Nkunku hasn’t done much better, with his last goal dating back to the start of February, but the hope is that the attacking change will lead to more unpredictability.

Milan lost a lot of points in games where was better team – like 2 games against Juventus. Than few points where could draw, like Parma, Napoli, Lazio…. and most points against bottom part of table teams, where should won couple of games more.
Its not Milan played perfectly, but these situations were driven by lack of stubborn concentration, agility, referees and luck.
That means more benched players would play if Milan managed little bit more.
Now 6 points are crucial. Maybe few less if Roma drops at least 2 points in last 4 games.
Allegri has a mental problem….🐷🐷🐷
