CorSport: Arrival of Ilicic wouldn’t exclude another playmaker – Milan’s targets

By Isak Möller -

It’s not exactly a secret that Milan are searching for a playmaker on the market, following the departure of Hakan Calhanoglu. Josip Ilicic has been mentioned a lot, but it seems he would mainly reinforce the right-wing.

According to today’s edition of Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), the potential arrival of Ilicic wouldn’t exclude the arrival of another playmaker. Perhaps not only because he can be used on the right-wing, but also because that operation would be low-cost.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are currently evaluating all of their options, also waiting on some discounts, so there hasn’t been any movement. At the top of their wish list, we find Nikola Vlasic, Marcel Sabitzer and Hakim Ziyech.

The latter could perhaps be allowed to leave Chelsea on loan and that would be a very good solution for Milan, which is why they are patient. Either way, the arrival of Ilicic wouldn’t close the market on the playmaker front.

  1. At best we get Illic lol. We have no fkn $ despite saving on Donnaruma. We will not make top 4. Feel sorry for the players and coach. No support from management. Horrible

    1. Fuck we couldn’t even afford to sign Kaio Jorge – we offered 2m and he went to Juve for 3m lol despite hearing for months he agreed to a deal with us and he was as good as signed….we are a joke
