CorSport: Ballo-Toure’s move to Werder Bremen nearing final stages

Fode Ballo-Toure’s move to Werder Bremen is now in the final stages and that move will allow Milan to sign a replacement, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport (via Milan News), Milan should soon collect €4-5 million from the sale of the Senegalese full-back to the Bundesliga side.

It has been clear for a very long time that Ballo-Toure is going to be leaving the club given he was not taken to the United States of America for the pre-season tour and he has also not played at all in the friendlies that have been played back in Italy.

Once that sale goes through, Milan are expected to secure the signing of Riccardo Calafiori who is the favoured choice to provide backup for Theo Hernandez at left-back across the new season.

Luca Pellegrini was another option there but Calafiori is expected to arrive instead from FC Basel.
