AC Milan have a strong and concrete interest in signing Assan Ouédraogo from Schalke 04 but their pursuit is complicated by the competition, a report claims.
Milan are always looking to the future when it comes to the acquisition of young talent, as seen through the signings of players like Pierre Kalulu from Lyon, Jan-Carlo Simic from Stuttgart and Malick Thiaw from Schalke.
According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), the name of Ouédraogo is the latest to end up on the list of chief scout Geoffrey Moncada. The 17-year-old midfielder has now established himself as a starter at Schalke 04, and is turning heads.
The Rossoneri management are very much interested in the German U17 talent, as confirmed by other sources too, but the interest of teams like Bayern Munich and Liverpool could complicate things considerably.
Bayern seem to have almost a monopoly when it comes to talent from other Bundesliga clubs, while the financial power of teams in the Premier League sadly cannot be ignored.
