CorSport: Bennacer, Saelemaekers and two more – Milan’s main sale candidates

AC Milan are in a phase of the transfer window where they are looking to put the finishing touches to the squad but also offload players who are not deemed necessary.

This morning’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that the signing of Emerson Royal means that the defensive department is complete, while now the attention will turn to signing a new midfielder.

As mentioned, Milan are also working on outgoing players, to thin out the squad. The one with the biggest market seems to be Yacine Adli and the Rossoneri are sensing the possibility of cashing in three years after signing him from Bordeaux.

Brentford seem willing to put €12m on the table for Adli, however he is not the only one who could leave Milanello in the event of offers deemed appropriate by the management. Ismael Bennacer – protected by a €50m clause – and Tommaso Pobega are also contenders to depart.

The situation has been completely reversed for Alexis Saelemaekers, who in the friendlies and in training has convinced Paulo Fonseca to confirm him in the squad for next season. Nevertheless, at the end of August there could also be news on the Belgian, whose fate remains in the balance.
