CorSport: Bologna making a strong effort to keep Motta amid Milan interest

Thiago Motta continues to be one of the most talked about coaches in view of next season given that his contract expires, with AC Milan keeping him on their radar.

This morning’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) talks about Motta and the brilliant job that he is doing with Bologna, who now have a real chance of securing Champions League qualification for next season.

This has attracted the attention of Milan and Juventus who are looking at potentially trying to hire him to be their head coach from the 2024-25 season onwards, and his contract is currently set to expire on June 30.

To date it is impossible to know how the story between Bologna and Motta – which began on 12 September 2022 – will end. The Rossoblu are fully focused on finishing the season in the best way and perhaps doing the unthinkable by making the UCL.

Meanwhile, Motta has not yet decided what his next stage in his career as a coach will be, but what is certain is that Bologna are doing everything to convince him to sign the contract renewal and stay together for at least another year.

Especially in the event that they actually end up in Europe, the owner Joey Saputo has informed Motta that he will only sell one of the star players in the current side, and only if the right offer comes in.

With a return to Europe, logically, the value of the players would increase and they could be sold for more in the summer of 2025. In short, Saputo is making a big effort to keep him.
