CorSport: Defender expected to leave Lazio – Milan, Juve and Napoli keen

By Oliver Fisher -

The future of Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi remains uncertain and AC Milan are one of the clubs who are a possible destination, a report claims.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Acerbi will arrive this afternoon in Auronzo di Cadore – the home of the Lazio training camp – despite the fact he now seems destined to leave the Biancocelesti.

The arrival of Alessio Romagnoli and Nicolo Casale will push the 34-year-old down the pecking order, and the paper mentions that Milan are still an option that remain for Acerbi given his past at the club.

However, the interest of Juventus and Napoli must also be mentioned but they do not consider him as a first choice target and rather only as an alternative option in the event that they do not get their first choice targets. The coming days should be crucial in deciding what the future of the Italy international will be.

    1. Gabbia will most probably stay. That’s because Milan need to comply with number of home-grown players and considering they’ve loaned Colombo and Maldini jr., they do not have sufficient number of home-grown players in their rooster.

  1. Either Acebri or get some young left footed CB. I think Tomori/Kjaer is solid partnership for now. Kalulu is good too. After all we only need a back up CB, no need to splash cash on CB right now.

  2. Bring in Diallo on loan with option to buy, he can backup both Theo and Tomori. he doesn’t impress send him back
