By Oliver Fisher -

Prospective new AC Milan manager Ralf Rangnick has his midfield trio in mind for next season, a report claims, and it includes two new signings.

As Sunday’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport notes (via MilanLive), Lucas Biglia and Giacomo Bonaventura will leave the club when their contracts expire, while Lucas Paquetà and Franck Kessie could also depart.

The new midline will be built around Ismael Bennacer, the only player assured of a sport. The paper claims that Rangnick already has the right names in mind to rebuild the Milan midfield.

The first is a footballer that he knows well in Dominik Szoboszlai of Red Bull Salzburg, and Milan are working to reduce the €25million demands, but the presence of the German could help.

The second name is that of Florentino Luis, a player already followed by Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara in the last transfer window.

CorSport add that the Portuguese club would have opened up to an ideal solution: a two-year loan to Milan and a very high option to buy – set at around €50million – for 2021.

The names are now known, and Rangnick’s idea of Milan would be to create a three-man midfield with Bennacer as the central fulcrum plus Florentino and Szoboszlai to be positioned either side.
