Giampaolo pays for the crisis at AC Milan. After just three wins in seven games, the Rossoneri announced earlier today that they have parted ways with the manager, who joined the club just four months ago.

However, even though the former Sampdoria boss is taking the biggest hit now, things could get rough for Zvone Boban and Paolo Maldini at the end of the season, as Corriere Dello Sport reports (via Calciomercato.com).

The newspaper claims that the Milan owners, Elliott management, will evaluate the directors at the end of the season. The hedge fund have given the duo their full confidence when it comes to the decision-making, though this comes with great responsibility.

In other words, the outcome of this season will not only be decisive for the club, but also for Boban and Maldini. Tomorrow, as our correspondent Vito Angele reports, Milan will announce the appointment of Stefano Pioli, who will sign a two-year contract with the club.
