CorSport: Excellent relations could facilitate Milan’s loan pursuit of Chelsea winger

By Isak Möller -

One of AC Milan’s priorities this summer is to bring in a top player for the attacking trio, preferably able to play in the centre and to the right. Hakim Ziyech, therefore, has ended up on their radar.

The Moroccan is expected to leave Chelsea this summer in order to get more playing time, with a loan solution possible. Milan have expressed their interest and since Maldini and Massara should renew in the coming days, the situation could be unlocked.

According to Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan are ready to offer a €5m paid loan with an option/obligation to buy. It’s a formula that Chelsea could decide to accept and thus the only real obstacle is the salary of Ziyech.

The winger earns around €6.5m per year and this is a figure that Milan cannot pay. Therefore, a solution must be found with Chelsea for the payment of the salary and the excellent relations (after Bakayoko and Tomori) between the clubs could facilitate this.

  1. There is a difference between cannot pay and will not pay. Milan can pay those wages but they choose not to because they don’t believe that the player is worth that type of wage.

We don’t want an Aaron Ramsey at the club
