CorSport: Fiorentina preparing for sale of key defender – Milan remain in the background

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could decide to move for Nikola Milenkovic if Alessio Romagnoli leaves, and he could be available in a cut-price deal.

According to il Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan), it is now becoming increasingly likely that Fiorentina sell Milenkovic because of complications over his renewal. The paper claims that Liverpool, Tottenham (as an alternative to Cristian Romero of Atalanta) and West Ham are looking for him, as are Juventus in Italy.

However, it must be remembered that Milan have good relations with his agent Fali Ramadani, though the Rossoneri remain in the background at the moment given they already have Fikayo Tomori, Simon Kjaer, Alessio Romagnoli, Matteo Gabbia, Mattia Caldara and Pierre Kalulu.

If Romagnoli were to leave the club then that could change things, but it seems Fiorentina are planning for the sale of Milenkovic already having targeted his compatriot Matija Nastasic, who is at Schalke currently.
