AC Milan have equalled their points tally in the 2021-22 season after 18 games played, showing that there is still a long way to go in the Scudetto race.
After the 1-1 draw against Genoa on Thursday evening, many have once again highlighted why Milan won’t be able to fight for the Scudetto until the end. However, as also stated by Fabio Capello earlier today, it’s not wrong to make the complete opposite conclusion.
As pointed out by Antonello Gioia in his piece for Corriere dello Sport this morning, Milan actually equalled their points tally from the Scudetto season with the draw against Genoa. Indeed, after 18 games, they also had 39 points in 2021-22.

This goes to show that the season isn’t decided in early January, nor will it be decided a month from now. In fact, in the 2021-22 season, Milan hit more than just a couple of roadblocks along the way (three games without a win once, two games without a win twice).
However, it was in the final stages of the season that the Rossoneri really excelled and Massimiliano Allegri is hoping for a repeat this time out. He’s aided by the fact that the rivals soon will be fighting in the Champions League once again, while his team will be able to prepare for the league only.
While frustrating and a missed opportunity, as such, the draw against Genoa should also be seen as an avoided defeat

The rest were underperforming, not so this time, inter are flying and Napoli is breathing down our neck with Juve and Roma posing a serious threat.. even como are not to be underestimated so ye, top 4 will be very welcome
It Will be a scudetto dont worry.
Inter were also flying the year we won the league. They started falling apart after that derby win by Milan when Giroud scored that brace. Easily could happen again, as Inter have had this issue for the last 5 years. The only issue is that Napoli could have an early exit from the champions league so they would play most of the 2nd half of the season in just Serie A and coppa.
